Community Engagement

The Life Sciences & Society Program is committed to connecting the research, educational, and deliberative work of our program with the wider academic community of the University of Michigan and with the communities of southeast Michigan. This connection has two dimensions:

1. Incorporating communities (geographic, educational, ethical/cultural, religious, etc.) within the framework of LSS research and education projects
   
   
2. Fostering the flow of information and discussion issues involving the life sciences into the wider community

LSS also offers resources and support to community groups sponsoring innovative activities and programs that engage society at both the state and local levels.
